Air layering did not take on the lilacs. Trying the direct rooting approach but not sure that'll work either. Its a bit early to be taking cuttings for dormant rooting... *sigh* oh well it'll work or it won't. Made a little impromptu propagation bench in the basement. *smiles* Nice to feel that again.
Lilac bushes will be coming out soon. Over grown and spindly, not healthy, covered in powdery mildew. Very much in the way to the view of/from the house.
Herbs are in. The basil was a small tree! Still not much in the way of volume though. *envy
aminita* Her herbs grow like mad. I take that back, not just the herbs, everything she does grows like mad! Need to dry the herbs now. Dark is best I believe?
Weeds in the back bed. *sigh* Fighting that fight when it hasn't been in a very long time is hard. So much to do in the way of gardening that I just can't seem to get a handle on it.
If anyone wants some peonies let me know. They are right where my herbs are going next year and I don't like them anyway. I'll also have a gob of lily of the valley that I'll be ripping out.
