Sex is easy. Infatuation is easy. Pleasure is easy. Love is hard work. Not everyone is capable of doing it.

Wow, that says it all right there doesn't it. What does it say about me that I connect with this phrase so readily right now? Sometimes easy is just what the doctor ordered. But, eventually easy must give way to something. Real needs are there and expectations must be met. Being in love can be amazingly easy but the act of loving is very hard work. Pay attention to what you promise because you will be held accountable.

If you aren't capable of loving yourself then you can't effectively love anyone else. Period. No Arguments Allowed. No excuses.

Loving isn't hard for me, but then I found the right person.

We don't really fight too much and I love him more and more as time passes.

It's definitely the easiest and most rewarding relationship in my life.

And for that unexpected gift, I am truly grateful........

Well, never understood why loving yourself is held up as some kind of virtue or entitlement, but I guess that's something else we can throw things at each other about over coffee. ;)

On the concept of loving yourself...

It's more a matter of knowing yourself, and being comfortable with who you are. You may have faults, but if you and the one you love accept them, and they don't conflict with whatever constitutes a relationship for you both, then you are able to develop different ways to express your love that are meaningful to you and your partner.
(I am entirely too long-winded today...)
