hypatia42The light is hung. After two trips over 5 days, we still need two washers so two of the lamps that attach to said light are not functional. Three aren't installed because we had the brilliant idea to keep one down so we knew what we needed to get.
Purple Malbec is rather nice. Its growing up to be a hearty wine. It needs a mesh strainer already and its only a 2009.
The video for Some Nights by Fun. made me sob and want to curl up in the corner. I've never felt that fighting was a way to resolve anything. The more violent the less it resolves. When people die because of it you only make the problem worse. Pacifist Warrior am I.
I registered for NADWCon 2013. I have a room reserved. I reserve the right to cancel said room until the end of next May if I get a better room offer. Dunno if T will be going but I am fairly sure his wife will because she is "Talent" in the Guild. M&M of the Guild will be going for sure. The she half of that partnership is a Chelonavigator and the head of volunteers so that is a sure thing. Other than those three I have NO IDEA who else will be there. Thus my push to get a room now. Its over the weekend of the 4th too so rooms could fill up. Dunno.
This could mean I will not be at FSG next year. *sigh*
I don't really get the opportunity to let my hair down in a safe place at FSG anymore anyhow. It ought not to bother me I know. The Honey doesn't let it bother him but most people fall over themselves to love him. Too many people have told me that I am hitting on someone or sleeping with someone, or behaving in a way that is inappropriate. If only they knew the facts. Too many people believe anything they are told or make wrongful assumptions without enough information. Too many of those people ought to know better. *blech*
People are buying houses and having kids. So many people I know having kids. Lossa people thought that my sister having a baby would make me want one. Really only cemented how ok it is with me not to have one of my own. Godson#2 is coming in town this coming Saturday. Being here for a week. Godson#1 is going to be here in Aug.
B&K are visiting in July. I wonder if I will pick up another penpal. I actually like writing to my kids. Mebbe I should try writing to the younger godkids and see if they like that.
Portland and the ocean in July as well. That trip cannot come fast enough. I am definitely looking forward to the time in between but seeing the ocean and getting to spend time in company will be Really good for me.
Did I mention ocean? And company? :)
Lunch today. Many topics ranging from health to family to politics and how they seamlessly interwove and related to one another was fascinating.
Definitions is such a fascinating subject. We all use the same words and assume we mean the same thing and largely we do but as they say, "Life is in the details," and it is the details where life gets so very muddy. Thank you Love for knowing my definitions and meaning what I mean when I use words. You rock.
Btw, I loved watching you and your keyboard, finger caressing the keys, giving soul to the expression of life there. Thank you for sharing that with me. I saw a video earlier than made me think of you.
