well either LJ has updated the system in the past day or my preferences have been changed by a well meaning honeybear... everything in this screen looks different.

Ah well. Couldn't sleep last night cause of fumes wafting up from downstairs. Oil based paint is very smelly. The honeybear came up smelling like it too and didn't even have the decency to shower b4 getting into bed. Ugh, that was awful, and me too brain dead to even say anything. I survived.

I also managed to survive the tutoring today. She realised as we were leaving that she had a reason to apologize to me after crying for a hour in the Riverview. I told her that she really ought to have apologized to the people inside. Dropped her off to find that my honey was trying his best to be thoughtful, knowing I like to eat dinner with him and had to work tonight, he came to pick me up. Only I didn't drop L off until about ten minutes before I needed to be at work because of her tantrum. She gets home at 2:30. I don't have to be at work til 5. You would think that would be plenty of time to finish off 7 problems with ample willing help. Not so much so. Awesome lady at the coffee shop came up to me as I was trying to get scratch paper from the man behind the counter and commended my patience. Said that was where her son was three years ago and all you can really do is persevere. Made me feel better. I just wish L wasn't trying so hard to convince me and everyone else, possibly even herself, that she is stupid. She's not! But she keeps saying that. Take a deep breath and don't overreact. Don't give in. Be firm but kind and persevere. I keep feeling like she's gonna hate me by the end of the month.

Work at ProEx is easy peasy. J, my boss, is real nice. He's training me to be a "keyholder" Basically a person who can open and close the store without mgmt help. Its pretty quiet. The people are pretty cool if a little excentric. I do feel a little paranoid that I'm going to screw up somebodies great pics and they will hate me for the rest of their lives. I hope that with experience I can get over this paranoia.

Got home and was remarkably energized (probably adrenaline overdose). So I made a run to Home Depot. Got them to give me a 10% discount on two sales I made last week. Came up to over $50 bucks. They didn't even blink when I brought them two receipts and the coupon I got in the mail the next day. Just rang it all up again and gave me the discount after cancelling the old sales. Saw some neat colors I may use when we find the energy/funds to repaint our place. Got home and painted downstairs for several hours. The living room is now mostly done. Some touch up may need to happen and I think I need to trim the corners of the coving with ceiling white again. Den/office area needs some touch up and it will be done. Bedroom still needs cutting in around the ceiling and tops of the windows but then it'll be done. Bathroom still needs several things. However, its size is anything but daunting. Hallway hasn't been touched save the ceiling. It needs to be done before this weekend. Kitchen,...*sigh* it needs a second coat all the way around also before this weekend. Both the linen closet and the pantry have yet to be touched save for a bit of taping done by mauryarose. Thank you SO much for all your help you guys! And to everybody who pitches in and helps us along the way. This weekend starts the journey into tiling the floor while tenants are trying to move in... No its probably not the best idea but we work with what we've got.

New fingernail color for the day? Relaxing Blue in eggshell finish by Behr.
--the astute among you will note that Behr is not a brand of fingernail polish. Its actually an interior paint. For some reason it sticks to my nails. Rather intersting on nails, kind of a blue-gray. Used to be called antique blue I think. Honey and I have decided that it could easily be a very boy color. J and D seem to like it fine. Don't think I could live with it personally but hey, I don't have to. I think I can probably get it off with a brush. If not, acteone should do nicely.

Eww, oh-dark-thirty. Honey is probably wondering where I am. If he isn't he's not sleeping well. Off to my love.

In fact, I did have the decency to take a shower...thank you very nice! You were so asleep at that point that you didn't even wake up. And, well, you know that the oil-based paint and the smell don't just wash off. :-P

I did wake up. I remember you coming to bed and me being very restless cause all I could do was smell that awful stench. And you brought more of it in with you. Sorry about the assumption that you didn't take a shower tho.
