is too much. lemme some up.
Buttercup is marry Humperd.....
Ok. No person in my weekend was named either of these things but it feels like the statement of need to sum up applies.
Last Thursday my new baby arrived. The Honey goes to pains to point out that it is not just my computer but his as well. He is delusional. I opened the box and not 20 minutes later I had to get up and leave to not touch its beauty again for two whole days. Wherein the Honey decided to fuss with it, put finger prints on it, and put a scratch in the case. Already. 20 minutes my hands have been on the machine and it has a scratch. We are in the market for a hard case. Soft case too but I believe something needs to be protecting the pretty pretty aluminium. Color me aggravated.
Friday I worked all day followed by IC circle wherein we did a neat little guided meditation. I generally face my obstacles with knowledge. That was kinda cool to discover. Up way too late after a very long day with another one to come. Crash.
Saturday was work in the morning. Hoboy. That was a trip. J had to leave right at 11 cause she had somewhere to be at 12. Monticello I believe she said. DrD decided that she was going to stay late and take on another NP. I was desperately trying to catch up enough from the morning that I could leave cause I had ritual to prep for. I left her with a ton of work at 30 min past when I was scheduled to be done. Not good planning. I didn't get my nap that day cause of it. I was so keyed up about not getting done with prep in time that I would not have been able to sleep anyhow. As it was two people showed before we were set. Still and all, everything worked out. Lessons learned and all that. We took a trip down to the falls. It was gorgeous. Warm enough that the coat could be unzipped and not need insulation underneath. Threw eggs off one of the lower bridges cause the one over the falls was uber crowded. Mine broke on impact. It rawked. By the time dinner was done and everyone had headed home I was so beat I couldn't stay on my feet. Crash.
Sunday we had a slow start to the day. Breakfast followed by heading out to Keller Lake to eagle watch. I need a zoom lens. I am not to good at photographing wildlife. I do decent with horses but they are more domesticated and I have a baseline understanding of them. Not so with eagles. Zoom and practice. Really my forte is people. Always has been. Want me to take your picture? NP. After Keller lake we wandered over to Best Buy to look at something else that we need to get to facilitate the purchase/effective use of the camera. This was looking at the difference in price and features between models of wireless routers. N vs G and gigabits and does it have USB ports on it such that we can continue using our current external HD. I didn't really follow all of it but I feel like I'm much closer than I used to be. Later on that evening I got to sit down with my baby again and try out her paces. Loaded a bunch of programs that I'll be needing. Most notable is Aperture. Played with that for a while. Should be nice getting to know a program that will let me manage my photo library.
siriciryon was astounded at the "vault" that I have stored most of my photos and photo cds in. Its gonna take forever to get everything managed and in usable format but I have the equipment to do so now. We were setting things up late into the night. Lastly fighting with iTunes to make sure the Honey and I both have access to the library of music we have. Its not huge but it was in several different pieces. Crash.
Monday. *sigh* I got to sleep in. Snuggle with L for the first time since Thursday when he arrived. We got up and headed to MOA to look at the hardcases previously mentioned for the previously mentioned problem. I didn't see any that I had to have. I will continue looking. I may look up the site that
dawningday sent me "ago" when I was looking for a case for Podling. Teflon something or other. Protect from scratches and then get padding to protect from jostling. We didn't really do a whole lot. It was nice. I have plans for more of the same tomorrow. I did get a few pictures off my baby boy(camera yet to be named) and mailed them off to the appropriate places.
I've taken a look at my health and wellness, my eating habits, and my exercise levels and I am worried. I did notice that its time for me to be taking my allergy meds again and I noticed a much clearer thinking once I did so. This thinking is centered around my job and how it is not encouraging me to take care of myself in ways that I know to be healthy for me. I'm not sure what changes can be made to help me with this. I like the job, I like the patients, I like the people I work with and I like my boss. For the first time in a long time, it is the job that is doing bad things to me. Specifically the long hours. 10 hours a day is a really long time for me. I feel like I am trying my damnedest all week to recover enough to go back to work. This is not a good state of things.

Date: 2009-03-24 02:19 pm (UTC)I'll do a little looking for other case manufacturers - I know that "Invisible Shield" makes one, but it's nearly permanent and has to be applied using a wetting agent for its adhesive (I always get a bit nervous spraying water near computers). It does make what it protects virtually scratch-proof though.

Some people just don't know how to treat pretty things. Hmph.
