Was a tired kitty earlier. Now what you see before you is a sad bedraggled kitty in sore need of tucking in.

Tomorrow is my short day. I have scheduled a chiro appt in between school and work. We shall see how that goes. I may decide I need the time in between and have to push the appt to a different time on a regular basis. Time will tell. Business class and a three hour techniques class that runs right over where lunch ought to be. I'm a little worried my blood sugar is going to tank. The prof mentioned that we should bring snacks and water to class and remind her we need to take breaks. I'll second that one when the time comes.

I bought my holster and oils today. Decided to support my local herb shop instead of my school when it came to the oils. Good thing too. The avocado they had at school looked rancid. Half and half mixture of grapeseed and avocado is what I'm trying out this time. See how that goes and I can tweak it if necessary. I know I like avocado for the skin factor but it tends to get tacky and thats no good. Grapeseed is lighter and would seem to me to be a good cut for the avocado. Comments to follow after extensive empirical evidence had been gathered.

Not used it. It is kinda expensive. But lots of people do use it and like it.

After years of experimentation, and preferring jojoba over everything but being unable to afford it in quantity, I have discovered a new option that I've been missing for years, and I wish I'd found it sooner. A friend had some ayurvedic massage oil that absorbed so fast I couldn't believe my eyes (or hands), leaving the skin at a perfect massage consistency without any oil slicks. Upon investigating the oil, turns out the base of most ayurvedic massage oils is sesame; they do a lot of processing for the ayurvedic recipes, so I wasn't sure the raw stuff would act the same way, but I picked some up, and it does. It's magnificent. As good as or better than jojoba. WAY cheaper. No tacky finish, it just smooths right in. It's given me far fewer breakouts from regular use than almond or grapeseed or apricot or avocado, all of which usually make my skin erupt like crazy if I use them heavily/regularly. The only disadvantage is a somewhat stronger smell than the more neutral oils -- the raw isn't nearly as strong as the toasted stuff used for Asian cooking, but it still smells like sesame, and I'm still deciding how to scent it appropriately. (The ayurvedic blends are full of sandalwood and such.) I'll let you know what I come up with.

Enough Time In A Day.....?

It seems that we always wish for another hour here or there. And simple necessities are the first to fall to the wayside. If only I can remember how many times I'd forgotten to eat.

Peace and strength sent for your scheduling hurdles.
