Jan. 30th, 2014 04:30 pmHaving an oh shit I did too much today moment. Stabby shooting pains up my leg from my ankle are not fun.
Therapy this morning was encouraging, if a little ow. I now have 15 degrees dorsiflexion and 35 degrees plantarflexion. 4 weeks ago I had 0 and 10. Progress happens. I have to get to 25 and 80 to match my other ankle. This is, according to George the PT, atypical. George says I can start riding my bicycle and that should help muscle growth and coordination.
Pre-therapy I had to dig my garage out enough that I could get my car out safely. Luckily it was super light snow. This was necessary to get to therapy and unfortunately not something I really ought to have been doing. Ah living alone.
After therapy I went to pick up a coat for the Honey. They had further marked it down to $80. They are tightening up the buttons tonight. It will be awesome.
I went tanning. Which is a good thing for me to be doing for myself.
Then I picked up the person who is shoveling for me while the Honey is away. I am frustrated at not being able to do this for myself and probably being over critical about how it ought to be done. He didn't want to take the bus home and I needed to go grocery shopping anyway so I went to do that to avoid walking up and down the stairs an extra time today.
Stabby in the ankle from standing and walking for an hour at the grocery store. Now I have no idea how I am going to stand and cook tonight. But I have ingredients. It will be fine I am sure.
Tomorrow is another day filled with other adventures. Like godson2 is competing in gymnastics at 8am and his mom doesn't have a car. And frankly I wouldn't trust her with one on these streets anyway.
