If everything had gone as planned today we would be loading up my car and heading out to Des Moines on our way to KC. As indicated by the "if" and the "had" that did not happen. Additionally, we are not talking one or two things that did not go as planned today. Everything that was planned today got boshed.
I woke to a computer that would not respond. An hour later myself and my tech support decided that it needed to be taken in for diagnostics. This left me extrememly frazzled.
Pick up and drop off at G's house went relatively smoothly aside from the fact that the person who I was supposed to be meeting there wasn't. Luckily that didn't last long but sitting down for a minute turns into 45 in that house. Its been well documented by more people than just me.
Grab lunch. Thank god they don't mind me being scatter-brained.
Head toawrds tanning. Take 30 minutes to get halfway there. Realise I don't have time before computer appt if the rest of traffic is going to be like this.
Arrive at store to hand over my precious Capri. Wait. Wait. Wait. Communicate what needs to happen with the poor thing. The nice genius ran tests. Wait. Wait. Wait. An hour later he has no clue. Check Capri in for an overnight stay for more diagnostics. *hang head* I was petting the computer before I left. I told her she'd be ok and I'd be back on Tuesday. I'm not happy with being away from my computer for so long. *urg*
Head to tanning place again. Pull into parking lot to a smoking engine. Pop the hood o see a hose spurting coolant which is burning off the engine. Love that sweet smelling smoke... *head in hands*
Go inside to find out what I need to do to freeze my account while I'm one for three weeks. Find out that I can't. I can't cancel my account without loosing $45 of what I have paid already and they will keep charging me... People, don't go to Darque tan. They are in business to ream you. It won't be fun.
Back to the car to see if I can get home without her over heating. I managed this. They Honey comvinced me that skipping dealing with it now and taking his car to KC is *BAD* idea. He's right. I woke in pain today. Doing that would multiply it tenfold.
Its almost 7:30 and my laundry is probably dry. Unless another heating element has blown in the dryer. I feel like I am surrounded by a fail-zone today. I wish I could convince my brain that it was just a sideways kind of day but realy, its more backwards and bent over.
