baking frensy part banana
Oct. 7th, 2008 04:19 pmThe Honey's mother's banana bread recipe with chocolate chips added to the mix and brown sugar covering the top. Just came out of the oven and smells great.
My next project is to take some of the apples we got and make apple cinnamon oatmeal cookies. I think I can make these with cider instead of water. Of course this requires finding the right recipe for them. There is no longer one on the back of the Old Fashioned Oats from Quaker. Experimentation may be required.
I may also find that I require pumpkin confection of some kind. I happen to have a fabulous recipe for a pumpkin pan cake that is divine.
Why am I so into baking right now? Probably because I shouldn't be eating carbs so as to starve the yeasties. I remember making apple fritters when my jaw was wired shut. The act of making the stuff is far more rewarding than eating it for me.
Who wants to be the lucky recipient of my baking endeavors?
