Flying back into MN I was so glad to see home I thought I would burst. Oddly the song that kept coming to mind was Lifeblood by Karen Unrein Kahan. Can't remember her SCA name for the life of me but the lyrics are here for me to remember;

morning update; its what time?

Its 7am. What's going on in your life? Ordinarily I'd like to still be asleep but that was not going to happen today. I was awake. The Honey asked me to take him to the airport this morning. We left home around 5:50. I dropped him off and gave him kisses goodbye, he told me to be good this week, and I laughed.

I had planned on seeing if I could go back to sleep but when I arrived I saw my garden needed tending. If there was a time to do it it'd be now before it got beastly hot. So, it was 6:15 and I was weeding. All the beds in the back got attention. I pulled as many weeds as my body would put up with. Then I watered the front and the back. And thus it must rain today. ;)

Basil isn't doing so hot this year. Not sure what is up with that. The G's isn't doing great either and we got them at the same place. Maybe its just the plants. The perennials I put in last year are picking up and doing nicely. Bright orangey yellow blooms are cheerful. Moving the astilbe to the front was the right idea. It is so much happier up there. If it survives the winter there I will likely get a few more to fill in and take more of the lily of the valley out. I'm thinking I need to put in some raspberries along south side of the house. I forgot to get the blueberry bush I wanted this spring so that'll have to wait until fall or next year.

I was going to huff it over the the G's house to do the watering there since it is better to water in the morning. Then I remembered what time it was. A might be up but I doubt he'd be happy about someone showing up before 7 to water the garden. He doesn't leave for work until later. Still, need to go get to that today before it gets too hot. Play with the kitties in the basement. Ah, underground, love it.

I think a visit to some pool or other is in order today. It is hot and sticky and I don't have central air here. Tactical error on my part. Not to be repeated. I love my house but I do need a/c to be functional in the summertime. Even the kits here are lethargic. Course, if I were covered in fur in this weather I probably would be a puddle on the floor too. I may just put Torby out this evening, she hasn't been out in a while. The evening time wouldn't be too bad for her, heat-wise.

The Honey is gone again. I have things to do.

Ever get the feeling that you're just too dominant for someone because what they want is soft? Yeah. Then I look at other people all I see is food. Why on earth would I want something soft in bed? Gods help me, that is boring. If you don't have half a chance at killing me don't bother.
