May Day

Good morning May. Thank you for washing the world clean with your arrival. The gentle storm was lovely.

I feel much more awake and alive today. Thanking myself for taking my allergy meds. I'm really enjoying the spring. I have more baking to do and need to get my hands back into the ground.

Any one where I can find decent compost cheap?

In St Paul there are city wide compost drop point. In the spring you get to pick up a bunch. Maybe Mpls has something similar?

I know! St. Louis Park has one too. Not a peep from Minneapolis yet. I'll keep poking on that front. I don't have a truck though so it may take some finagling

Um, if you drive to PA you can get free compost out of the bin in my back yard?

Hmm, the chance to see you might just make up for the cost increase for shipping et al. ;)

You gonna make it down to FSG this year? My Honey will be there! And me too.

FSG

Yay! You'll be at FSG! I'll be there for the weekend. I'm kind of stressing about where to sleep and whether to be on the BS meal plan.

Your honey is a non-Wiccan isn't he?

My honey is... not Wiccan, but not Christian either. He is as of yet undefined. Certainly not B*.

He will occasionally come to circle with me. He has a standing invite to most anything. He's family here I guess. Enough that [livejournal.com profile] wildplaceking has called him an initiate more than once.

I have heard in my recent rain garden classes that MPLS used to give away compost but no longer does, as of last year. I do not know why but master gardeners and landscape designers are now looking for a new place to get it.
