I have decided that the provider listings for Medica suck ass. Recently I tried to find a covered chiropractor. They gave me 7 numbers and only two connected. One of those hadn't been a provider for Medica for three years. Now I get a number for what they say is a neurologist 6 blocks from my home so I caled to make an appt. I find out not only is he a not a neurologist he's a pediatrician located off of 83 in Wisconsin.

Don't know how convenient it is for you, but there's a chiropractic clinic at the Allina Clinic in the Medical Arts Building downtown. They should take Medica.

I had the same trouble finding a dentist through Medica, and now finding a psychiatrist for my autistic kid. The 800 number referred me to one "pediatric autism specialist center" and said there were "LOTS of doctors there who specialize in treating autistic kids" and when I called, they a) Didn't have an M.D. on staff, and b)were not accepting Medica and c) had a waiting list of 1+ years to see a psychologist. =/

I'm SO not thrilled with Medica's doctor-finder dealie. They have covered what I actually was able to get seen for, but it's the finding a doctor and getting seen part that sucks ass.
